The Social Security has informed us that all those self-employed workers who have been paying their social security contributions by direct debit to their account in the Financial Entity 0487 - BANCO MARE NOSTRUM, S.A., will only be able to do so until next AugustThis is due to the fact that this Entity will no longer collaborate in the collection management with the General Treasury of the Social Security due to a process of absorption or merger with another Financial Entity -Bankia- for which reason a new IBAN (international bank account number) must be indicated as soon as possible through the Bank Data Communication Service.
For this reason, if you have been paying your self-employed contributions through a BMN account, even if the same bank is now redirecting the charge to your new Bankia accountaccount, as of September it will no longer be possible to do so.as the Social Security will no longer issue a direct debit order.
Therefore, if you have been paying your self-employed contributions via a BMN account, you are affected by this change, and you have two options:

  • Go to your nearest Social Security General Treasury office to change your account.
  • Authorise Confialia to carry out this procedure, for which we will need an authorisation to manage it in the Social Security RED System; if we do not have this authorisation, we will need the FNMT digital certificate to process it. Do not hesitate to contact us to check whether Confialia has such authorisation.

Remember that if you do not make this change, from September the Social Security will stop sending receipts to your account. and, therefore, if the contributions are not paid, you will be issued debt receipts with a surcharge for each unpaid month.. If you have any doubts about this matter, please contact your advisor at Confialia and he/she will inform you of the steps to take.
From Confialia we want you to worry only about the important things: Your Company and your Free Time!
